THE UNKNOWN PATH TO EASTER – SERIES TRAILER
As we begin Holy Week we enter this year differently — in uncharted waters–may we together take this opportunity to learn, grow and deepen our faith on this unknown path to the resurrection.
REFLECTION #1 – “A HUMBLE SUPPLICATION”
The world is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and we are entering Holy Week. With all the challenges and changes during this time we march to Easter on an unknown path. What will we experience and what will we discover? Let us make a humble supplication to the Lord.
REFLECTION #2 – THE OILS OF GLADNESS
In this second night of the series, Fr. John reflects on the holy oils that are blessed on the Monday night of Holy Week at the Chrism Mass. The oils give us insight on how God continues to dwell in our lives but also calls us to live out the Good News in this time of crisis in new ways.
REFLECTION #3 – THE GIFT OF MERCY AND FORGIVENESS
Fr. John continues this special message series leading us through a time of prayer and reflection on God’s eternal mercy and forgiveness. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and not being able to go to confession, we can still petition and receive God’s loving forgiveness.
REFLECTION #4 – WE ARE IN THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we prepare for Easter together. Even though we cannot be together for Mass or other celebrations during the lockdown, we are in this together. Christ does not leave us alone—he walks with us and we walk with each other. The unknown path is before us but we rejoice in the grace that God gives us and enter Easter with courage, hope and love.
