THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE
We love stories. We watch movies, read novels and watch programs on tv seeing different characters make good and bad choices. These stories inspire, teach and entice us each and everyday. We too live our own story but with the gift of our faith—we can see our stories a bit differently. Our lives are important. All of our experiences, choices, joy and sorrows are significant in our lives and the lives of those around us. Yet they are not important due to the fact that we are the central figures of our lives—our personal story is part of the bigger story of God’s love. We can only fully understand our story when we see that we are part of a much bigger story. We are called to share our lives and story with others bringing us closer to the love of Christ.
HOMILY #1 – WE ARE PART OF A BIGGER STORY
Fr. John begins a new homily series called THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE. He begins the series by sharing some of his favourite movies and stories. All of us love stories and we each are living a story. Yet we need to realize that we are not the central figures of our story—we are part of a bigger and much more exciting story.

SESSION #2 – THE HOLY SPIRIT & OUR STORY
In the second homily of Fr. John’s message series called “THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE” he shares how the gift of the Holy Spirit, given to us through Christ, draws us close to God and one another. The Holy Spirit is key for us to live our story to the fullest by placing God at the centre of our own stories. We also learn what is needed in our lives to live God’s story. We are all part of the one body of Christ—important and necessary. Fr. John also shares some of his favourite shows and stories!!

SESSION #3 – OUT OUT IN THE DEEP WATER
Fr. John concludes this message series by reflecting on the gospel as Jesus takes Peter and others out into the deep waters for a catch!! Jesus enters into our lives and challenges us to trust him and go out into the unknown to catch people with His grace, love and mercy!! Like the saints, we need to live our story as part of the bigger story of God’s love in this world.
