LIVING MERCY SERIES

During the Lenten series, pastoral team members of the Chatham Catholic Family of Parishes will be reflecting on 7 General Audience reflections by Pope Francis during the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy 2016.  Lent is a time of renewal and conversion

SESSION #1
LEARN FROM ME

In this first session, Fr. John reflects on the gift of mercy by learning from Jesus who is kind and compassionate. He walks with us so that we can learn from Him to become Christ in our world today.

SESSION #2
I DESIRE MERCY

In this second session, Fr. Robert reflects on the gift of mercy or love rather than sacrifice.  We are called to love, share, serve and forgive.  Christ is the icon of mercy we are inspired to imitate each day.  Matthew is called to follow Jesus with love and hope—we too are called by Christ to follow him with mercy!

SESSION #3
THE LOST SHEEP

Fr. Dariusz leads this third session focusing on how Jesus reaches out and connects with sinners. He inspires us to live a life of forgiveness sharing love, mercy and joy with those who need it the most.

SESSION #4
MERCY & INCLUSION

Fr. John continues the series reflecting on the call of mercy seeking inclusion of all people. We are called to be people of mercy opening wide the doors of our lives for everyone.

SESSION #5
MERCY & DIALOGUE

Deacon Chris Masterson reflects on the call for all of us to dialogue, enter into conversation and get to know one another if we are going to offer and share mercy. Meeting people where they are at is key to sharing Christ’s love with others.

SESSION #6
WELCOMING THE STRANGER

Ali Chinnick, Pastoral Minister, shares and reflects on the duty to welcome the stranger and clothe the naked. We are called to be Apostles today who seek to serve and bring alive the Gospel.
