CZESTOCHOWA WAY OF THE CROSS

The Czestochowa Way of the Cross is a unique 18 station journey of Christ presented in a modern and artistically powerful way using the backdrop of Polish history.  Fr. John Jasica discovered this beautiful set of stations while on retreat in Poland and visiting the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.  This set of 18 paintings depicting the journey of Christ from his sentencing to the resurrection is found on the second floor of the shrine.

Fr. John had a personal tour of the 18 stations by a religious sister who knew the artist (who has died) and was able to share some unique insights from the artist himself.  Over a couple of days at the shrine, Fr. John was able to have the religious sister explain each station in great detail.
